This gave me back my self-esteem and my sense of worth as a woman and a mother. I learned to deal with my problems in different ways as well as to establish healthy boundaries and forgive myself. I was able to restore my relationship with my kids and my partner. By establishing effective and assertive communication in a kind, loving way, I was able to open the door to a new beginning. I learned to attentively listen to my kids, participate in their interests, and create a safe environment for them to express themselves.
